Capt. Michael Evans

Michael was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he began fishing the saltwater marshes and freshwater ponds of Louisiana as soon as he could hold a fishing rod. After graduating from LSU with a Bachelor's in Political Science, Michael hit the road to Jackson, WY where he enriched his passion for fly fishing. It didn't take long into his guiding career up north for him to realize this passion for sharing great fishing experiences was something he wanted to bring back home to Louisiana where he could hunt down monster redfish and truly put folks on the fish of a lifetime.

Michael is a USCG Certified Captain and runs on a Hell's Bay Marquesa...a state of the art skiff made to deliver you to monster redfish in the shallows of what is undeniably the best red fishery in the world.

Michael fishes mainly out of Hopedale, LA. A quick 45 minute drive from downtown New Orleans delivers you to this vast expanse of marshlands that proves to be one of the greatest fisheries in the world.  All it takes is that first bull redfish pulling you deep into your backing to fall into a beautiful addiction with this place and this sport.

When one tugs at a single thing in nature, he finds it attached to the the rest of the world.
